Appeal - SUPPORT FOR THE CORONA VIRUS AFFECTED FAMILIES
Dear Friend,
India is fighting COVID 19 (CORONA Virus) pandemic on a war footing. The countrywide lockdown has left many daily wage earners jobless and pushed them in the valley of hunger and dispair.
We have started a campaign to help such underprivileged and marginalized families from the worst-hit state of Maharashtra to survive this lockdown by providing food grains for 14 days per family.
Many daily wage earners are jobless now due to countrywide lockdown for combating COVID 19 pandemic. Earlier they lived hand to mouth, however, now due to the shutting down of large parts of the formal and informal industry, they are struggling to provide even basic necessities like food and medicines to their families. We have identified a long list of such families from communities of Govandi and Mankhurd slums (Mumbai, Maharashtra).
The selected families from these slums are mostly from the most vulnerable sanitation community who do odd jobs and casual labor for their daily living.
We plan to make direct food grain donation worth Rs.1000/- per family. Through trust’ social network we intent to reach 3,000 such families. Donors shall be provided with the photo of the food grain donation to family and phone numbers of such family member for their reference and records.
Your donation of Rs. 1000/- or even Rs. 500/- can help such a vulnerable family to survive this lockdown.
